About Us

Florida Associtaion of Vacation Rentals (FAVR) is a not for profit, mutual organisation.

Formed in 2005, membership of the association includes home owners, management companies and other professional engaged in the vacation home rental industry. All members are bound together by one common thread - a passion for the promotion and further development of a professional and ethical vacation home rental industry in Florida.

Membership to home owners and management companies is only open to those willing to have thier homes verified via our PROOF scheme (further details of which can be found - HERE). Verified homes aim to provide the renter with the necessary peace of mind that many people today seek from transacting business over the internet.

Membership to others engaged in the vacation home rentals industry is extended to builders, realtors and other who share, in their own business dealings, our ethos of quality. They, like us, must have a significant commitment, demonstrated in their value statements, to see this industry flourish and grow in a sustainable and ethical way.

• Our Primary objectives are to:
• Promote to the North American and Canadian vacationers, through collective marketing on behalf of members, the many benefits attached to staying in ethically run, vacation home rental properties iin Florida
• Provide a non-partisan, a-political association base for those engaged in the vacation home rental industry, enabling those from a wide range of services in the industry to work together for the good of the indutry as a whole
• Provide a range of services to members that would not have been as easily accessible without the power of collectivism (enabling owners and other members, where relevant, to pass on any resultant benefits to the end user - the renter)
• Where possible provide individual support and representation for members
• Act as a effective body through which the interests of the constituent parts of the industry as a whole can be pursued and represented
